Paul Smith Melrose

Paul Smith Melrose

Standard collaborated with the design team from Paul Smith to reimagine the interiors of the iconic pink Melrose store and create a new VIP entrance patio. The primary goal was to enhance the overall customer experience within the store, which was achieved by creating a more cohesive and immersive shopping environment across the different brand departments. One of the key design objectives was to create separate but cohesive spaces for each of the store’s departments: Women, Men, and Home. To achieve this without making the space feel confined, the team used warm stone-cladded partition walls, which serve the dual purpose of visually dividing the store while also creating an inviting, intimate ambiance. Overall, the design reflects a deep understanding of the brand's identity, which places a strong emphasis on the use of color and attention to detail, such as the striking red metal entrance tunnel, which makes a bold statement upon arrival.

Standard’s involvement as local architect played a key role in turning Paul Smith’s vision into reality by ensuring that the project's execution aligned with Paul Smith’s design intent.
